The staff at City Lounge Hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. I was impressed by their ability to understand my gestures and communicate effectively, even though I didn't speak German. The location was a bit far from the Centro, but the accessibility of buses and trams made it convenient to get around. I would definitely recommend staying here for a pleasant experience.

We had a great experience at the hotel. the staff were super-friendly and spoke Russian, which made communication easier. the location was perfect, just a 10-minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof. We appreciated the separate entrance with a code lock for added security. the elevator was quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. the hotel also had a lovely terrace in the yard and was situated in a quiet neighborhood. it was a great place to stay, especially considering the affordable price in the area.
No negatives about the hotel.

I absolutely adored the charming and elegant decor of the hotel. The classical furniture and beautiful artwork created a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The general areas were impeccably clean and well-maintained, which was a delight to see. As a senior woman, I also greatly appreciated the hotel's accessibility. The hallways were wide and well-lit, making it easy for me to navigate with my mobility assistance device.
I would have loved to see more options for entertainment and activities specifically tailored for senior guests. It would have been wonderful to have a cozy lounge area where I could relax with my fellow guests and engage in social activities.

Located in a bustling area with plenty of markets and shopping options and close proximity to Essen Classic car show, this hotel could be a good choice for explorers. the rooms, while small, offer basic amenities like free Wi-Fi and decent pillows. the staff were friendly enough and offered private parking behind the hotel.
The hotel had unreliable internet connection that made it difficult to enjoy the stay.

I recently stayed at City Lounge Hotel for a short trip to Oberhausen. The location was perfect, right in the city center, and it was great to have flexible check-out hours. The rooms were small but clean, with comfortable beds and a modern shower. The breakfast options were varied and delicious, with waffles, cruesli, eggs, and more. For a short stay, this hotel is an excellent choice.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. They allowed us to check in early and were quick to respond to our needs. The free parking on-site was very convenient and the location was great for exploring the surrounding area. The cleanliness of the room was impressive and we enjoyed the comfortable bed.
The room was a bit on the small side and there wasn't much space to move around. We also noticed that some of the furnishings were a bit outdated and could use some refurbishing.

Amazing location and free parking. The hotel is located in the heart of the city, a few steps from all the main attractions. The parking lot is also a great advantage, especially in such a busy area, and there is no fee for parking. The breakfast is also amazing, with fresh bread and pastries as well as hot and cold food.
The WiFi connection is not very reliable and creating an account to use it is a bit annoying. The rooms are a little small, but they are very clean and well-maintained. Also, the staff could be more helpful at times, but overall they were friendly and accommodating.
